While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I discovered behind its doors was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.

The floors were sticky , and a nauseating aroma of uncleaned spills and neglected washrooms suffused the entire establishment . Reeking of a mixture of ammonia , old age and sickness . The main bar, which should be the centerpiece of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and litter that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The bathroom was in even more deplorable shape —overflowing , with a broken handle and tiles smeared in what I can only assume was fecal matter .

After reading through multiple accounts and speaking with locals , it seems that the quality of upkeep (or lack thereof) at this pub is a recurring complaint. Many customers have reported spotting critters darting across the counter and evidence of rodent infestations in the adjoining rooms. For a business that caters to patrons, these issues are entirely inappropriate and raise serious concerns about the quality of the food and drinks .

During my time there, I saw how uneasy several female guests seemed around Cornwell.
